The Cordillera Blanca is a mountain range with 50 peaks over 5.700 meters which is located in the northern part of the Andes, in the Huascaran National Park.
To get "Here comes the sun" I tried to advance to the edge of the camp but I had to pay attention because of the invisible crevasses all around. I remember that I had tried to go as far as possible, to remove the slope visible in the left side of the image. To advance more it would have been too dangerous because the area was full of crevasses hidden by fresh snow had fallen the day before. I then placed the camera on a lightweight inexpensive tripod I brought with me, trying to plant it very well in the frozen snow. I used AEB function to be sure to have a shot definitely well exposed and reserve the possibility of an HDR, since it was a backlit.
